Job Title: Avionics Technician

Job Description

As an Avionics Technician, you will be responsible for the hands-on assembly and testing of aerospace components and subsystems in the R&D shop. You will collaborate directly with engineers to build and validate new hardware, guiding it on its path to flight qualification across a diverse array of products and processes.

Responsibilities

• Assemble aerospace components and subsystems from engineering drawings, work orders, and specifications.
• Operate test equipment to validate and characterize hardware under development.
• Collaborate closely with engineering throughout the build and test phases, ensuring clear communication and prompt responsiveness to feedback.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and tolerances including GD&T.
• Document assembly and test results accurately to support engineering iteration.
• Identify and promptly communicate defects or anomalies to engineering.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in assembly or testing within an aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing environment.
• Experience in operating, programming, or setting up automated or semi-automated test equipment.
• Proficiency in building and testing avionics, electromechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or power electronics components.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience operating plastic injection molding equipment is a bonus.
• Experience in avionics installation and wire harness.

This is a Permanent position based out of El Segundo, CA.

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $104000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
